Gabrielle McCord-Shufford, born in Torrance, California, and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, wears many crowns — mama of six, cervical cancer survivor, postpartum doula, and truth-teller. But at her core, she is a woman who believes in the power of sisterhood and the sacred work of motherhood.
Her story is stitched together with both joy and struggle: late nights rocking babies while fighting her own battles with postpartum depression, navigating the weight of healing after cancer, and learning to hold space for herself while showing up for her children. Each chapter has shaped the way she sees women — not as isolated, but as connected, carrying each other through.
For Gabrielle, sisterhood isn’t a buzzword. It’s the friend who checked in when the world went quiet. It’s the laughter that broke through exhaustion, the conversations that stitched up wounds, the reminder that mothers deserve the same care they pour into everyone else.
On the mic, she brings that same spirit — part nurturing, part no-nonsense, always honest. Her hope is simple: that every mother listening feels less alone, more seen, and deeply rooted in the truth that sisterhood and motherhood are not separate paths, but braided together in the same beautiful, complicated journey.

I am a mother — a woman who knows firsthand both the beauty and the challenges of balancing family, healing, and purpose. Though my roots are elsewhere, I now call Houston home. My journey with cervical cancer shaped me in ways I never imagined, and out of that struggle grew something deeper: a renewed sense of self, resilience, and connection. Over the years, my reflections have been powerful, healing, hilarious, and deeply insightful — and they continue to shape the way I move through the world.
