Gabrielle McCord-Shufford
Founder, The Gabrielle Raquelle Collective
Community Doula | Advocate | Survivor | Storyteller
Gabrielle McCord-Shufford is a wife, mother of six, certified spiritual coach, postpartum doula, and stage III cervical cancer survivor whose life’s work is rooted in faith, mentorship, and legacy.
While pregnant, Gabrielle was diagnosed with glassy cell carcinoma — a rare and highly aggressive form of cervical cancer representing less than 1% of all cases. Her path was uncertain, yet through unwavering faith, modern medicine, and deep spiritual conviction, she overcame what many considered impossible. Her survival became both a testimony and a turning point — proof that resilience is sacred and that healing involves mind, body, and spirit.
From her own lived experience, she was inspired to create The Gabrielle Raquelle Collective— a vision-driven home for her healing-centered work: Project RIBBONS, Mama G’s Community Doula Services, The Daisy House of Healing Network, Cervical cancer and HPV education & prevention, and community empowerment. Through these initiatives, Gabrielle connects advocacy, mentorship, and whole-person wellness, centering the lived experiences of Black and Brown women in maternal health, mental health, and cancer survivorship. Each story she uplifts becomes both a mirror and a map: reflecting resilience while guiding others toward equitable care.
With deep roots in faith and community, Gabrielle builds spaces where women can reconnect with their strength, reclaim their identities, and rise into leadership. Today, whether she’s mentoring emerging advocates, nurturing mothers in postpartum care, or leading community-based wellness programs, Gabrielle’s purpose remains constant: to create spaces that cultivate restoration, where every voice is valued, every story is heard, and every person has purpose.

This collective is more than an organization, it is a love letter.
The Gabrielle Raquelle Collective is dedicated to my children: Kaleb, Neriah, Genesis, Nazir, VenusSage, and Lexington. You are my will, not only to survive, but to live.
